History of Mabul Island :
Mabul Island is off the south-eastern coast of Sabah in Malaysia. This island has been a fishing village since 1990's and it has been popular to divers due to its proximity to Sipadan Island. Mabul Island is located 15km from Sipadan. It is 20 hectares piece of land surfaces 2-3 meter above sea level. Mabul Island is such a sandy beach. In Mabul Island, it has two villages which are Kg. Mabul and Kg. Musu. The major immigrant fom relatively nearby clusters of Island in southern Philipines.
So, Mabul Island is one of Semporna's most visited destinations. It provides warmth and comfort surrounding. It is such a very relaxing holiday destination after a long week working. Hotels that are famous around Mabul Island such as Borneo Divers Mabul Resort and Seahorse Sipadan Scuba Lodge. The activities that is well known here is diving and snorkelling besides they also provide a good trainer to teach you diving and snorkelling well.
How to get there :
From Kota Kinabalu, 55 minutes flight to Tawau, then enjoy an hour's drive to Semporna. From Semporna, Mabul is anpther 45 minutes by speedboat.
